Rodial Skincare - Instaglam Compact Deluxe Bronzing Powder

high tech love

Rodial Skincare was founded by a woman named Maria Hatzistefanis in 1999.

She felt there was a gap in the beauty market when it came to high-performance skincare products.

And in a way, I think she was right.

In recent years, the skincare industry has been revolutionized.

There are so many choices out there now, from a deep professional focus on high-performance to a big movement in simple rituals and a return to organic ingredients.

It really is a great thing.  I love having choices.

When it comes down to it though, I'm still a sucker for high-performance products.

I love seeing results quickly and efficiently.

21 Days Of Testing

I say this in all my skincare posts... My skin is reactive and bi-polar.

My general rule of thumb is to test a beauty product for at least three weeks before offering my opinion, especially when the company has sent it to me personally.

It is part of my brand's editorial guidelines, which I will be publishing shortly.

So I've spent the last few months testing my Rodial Skincare products - and this bronzing powder has made its way into my regular summer makeup rotation.

When you hold this compact in your hands, the quality packaging is immediately apparent.

It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap.

The product pan is also a nice size.  A lot of summer bronzing products are either way too small or way too big.  You get these massive product pans and it's tough to travel with them.

And summer was made for travel.  Am I right?!?!?!?

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, I'm looking at you!

You can hold this compact in one hand and the lid is magnetized so it closes easily.

the best bronzer yet

As I started to use this product, I quickly realized it is extremely pigmented.  And while that is a good thing, it means you have to be careful when you apply it.

When it comes to using a bronzing product, I'm not super huge into contouring.

Instead, I would much rather partake in sun-stripping - which is a funny and relatively trendy term to describe the sweeping of bronzer where the sun naturally hits your face.

I recommend sticking with a matte bronzer instead of anything containing too much shimmer because a matte bronzer offers a natural glow and far more control.

When you're pale like me, finding a matte bronzer that isn't too dark can be a challenge.

I used to use matte setting powders in slightly darker shades.  Then, I found Rimmel London's Natural Bronzer in Sun Light and I still love it.

By far though, Rodial Skincare's INSTAGlam Bronzing Powder is the best matte bronzer I've used.
